Kaija: FDC fans tortured at Kireka to admit treason -#Uganda

[Ugandans are being arrested, kidnapped, tortured and dying.  The world is watching.  So many people send their hard earned money to support a killing regime.  One day your children or grand children will ask you why.  US, EU, Canada and UK will go down as having funded a junta which maims and kills its own people.  Do not be on the wrong side of history.  All our children now know and connect with friends globally.  Raise your voice and stop sending money.]
Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] deputy Secretary General, Harold Kaija, has finally spoken out on his nine-day at Kireka Special Investigations Unit.
Human Rights Lawyer, Ladislaus Rwakafuzi this Wednesday secured the release of Kaija who is accused of defying Justice Steven Kavuma’s order banning defiance activities.
Kaija was first arrested on May 9 while trying to address a press conference at FDC head offices in Najjanankumbi.
He was going to announce a programme for Kizza Besigye’s swearing in ceremony.
“In the Kireka cells I found Sam Ariho well known in the FDC circles at MUK. He is charged with treason. He inserted my name and that of Michael Kabaziguruka MP in his statement as one of the people he consulted while starting his activities,” Kaija narrates.
Ariho told him that he had been beaten to do it.
“I find this strange! The truth is that I had not seen him for seven years. He called me one day and you invited him to office. I told him that our party was only involved in nonviolent actions.”
It took the intervention of FDC Secretary General Nathan Nandala - Mafabi who staged a “one man protest” at the SID offices until Kaija was released.
“He [Mafabi] asked to be jailed with me if they didn't allow him to go with me. From what we gathered, all FDC cases, the IGP [Kale Kayihura] has the final say.”
Other FDC leaders including; Paul Mwiru MP, Anna Adeke Ebaju, and her sister, Mr. Wafula Oguttu, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda MP, Dr. Odwer, Mr Ladislaus Rwakafuzi, a human rights advocate, activists: Kigongo Ayub, Fred W Mutibwa, Ayub, Sam Kalule, Namutebi, Richard Nyombi Byemalo , Musitwa, the NRM Poor Youth, My family David, Ruth and Edna, visited Kaija to seek his release.
His says for the fear of social media, one day, the Kireka leadership invaded his cell at mid night to find out if he was keeping a phone.
“There was panic all over the place for two days.
Ingrid Turinawe, the secretary for mobilisation and Nyanjura Doreen LC5 Woman Councillor Makerere, led the social media campaign for Kaija’s release.
“What I can authoritatively tell you is that we have a lot of support in the forces,” Kaija said.
Meanwhile, Zeridah Kakayi, the FDC vice chairperson for Youth and Boniface Okori, a guard at the FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi are still missing.
