Police kills 2 as Bundibugyo death toll rises to 8 - #Uganda

The death toll arising from tribal clashes in Bundibugyo district has increased to eight people so far.
A group of about 27 people raided homes and hacked six people to death on Tuesday night in Kikalizo village, Ntontoro sub County.
One of the houses in the area was burnt and properties stolen.
The area Resident District Commissioner, Geoffrey Mucunguzi, said one house was burnt and property stolen.
On Wednesday morning, police kicked off its work by shooting one person on Wednesday morning who reportedly threw stones at them.
Bundibugyo DPC Martin Tukahebwa says three more people have died in the same district.
Two others were shot dead by police after they attempted to grab guns from officers deployed in the affected Kikalizo village.
A total of 13 people have been arrested in connection with the attacks.
After the February 24th LC5 elections, violence erupted in Busengerwa village of Busaru sub county where one person  was shot dead by a former UPDF guide, called Museveni Bonifance, alias Bhangi.
This led to retaliatory attacks in Busaru, Ngamba and Kirumya sub counties, leaving 15 Civilians dead and 04 others injured, 139 houses were also set ablaze.
