UGANDA: Minister Pornography Mini-Skirt Lokodo airlifted to Kampala from Kalangala

DAILY MONITOR - Ethics and Integrity minister, Rev Fr Simon Lokodo has this afternoon been airlifted in a UPDF helicopter from Kalangala District to Kampala for attention after he collapsed.

He was airlifted to Kololo Airstrip from where he was driven to Uganda Heart Institute for further management.

Fr Lokodo was scheduled to open an anti-corruption workshop organised by the ministry at Ssese Islands Beach Hotel in Kalangala town. However he was unable to do so as he collapsed before getting to the venue. He was rushed to Kalangala Health Center IV but his handlers found the wards were full.

Mr Caleb Tukaikiriza, the Kalangala Resident District Commissioner later confirmed that the minister was “in a sorry” state and they were organising to see that the minister is airlifted to a better health facility.

A medical officer at Kalangala health Center IV who asked not to be named said Fr Lokodo was hypertensive.

“His problem is that he is hypertensive. His blood pressure has risen,” he said.

However, state minister of Health for General Duties, Sarah Opendi, said Fr. Lokodo is “out of danger and the cause of his illness is being investigated.”

“Let’s instead pray for him to stabilise,” Mr Tukaikiriza said declining to divulge more details.
Local residents who witnessed the incident asked government to provide Kalangala’s main health facility with enough equipment to handle such emergencies.

Herbert Mugambe, a health rights advocate under the advocacy for better health program in Kalangala District said the ministers’ incident would be a wakeup call for government to upgrade Kalangala Health Center IV, the district’s main health facility into a modern hospital with enough equipment to handle all illnesses.
