#NorthKorea replaces ambassador to #Uganda after cooperation suspension

N. Korea Replaces Ambassador to Uganda Amid Suspended Cooperation
North Korea has named a new ambassador to Uganda, months after the African country suspended military and security cooperation with the communist regime.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) on Monday quoted the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly as saying Jong Tong-hak has been appointed as the new ambassador to Uganda.

The government in Kampala announced last year a suspension to its long-standing cooperation with Pyongyang in the security, military and police sectors.

The KCNA also reported that Mun Jong-nam was appointed as the North's ambassador to Italy, filling the vacuum left by the death of his predecessor Kim Chun-guk.
