#Magufuli fired mines / energy minister because of #corruption #Tanzania #Kenya #Uganda @KagutaMuseveni

My long time followers will remember that in 2013 and 2014, I shared articles about Barrick Gold.

Barrick is a Canadian company.  They had issues because their 2 mines in Tanzania had been given land by displacing people.

As soon as a friend from Tanzania who works for Barrick told me about land grabbing, I bought Puts on ABX.

Barrick then divested and Acacia Mining fell for it.

Uganda media is lying to you.  They should have used Google on Acacia and found Barrick.

What transpired last week was a result of investigations and audits.

Acacia had 277 containers at the Port of Dar el Salam exporting gold.  The export declarations had 1.1 tonnes in each container.  Rather stupid because a 20 ft container tajes naximum 12,000 kilos.  A 40 ft contaiber takes more up to 25,000 kilos.

The 277 containers upon audit were each loaded with 15.50 tones of gold. That is nore than ten times of what was declared.

What is shocking is Acacia had been put under an export ban in March 2017.  But the greed of some people prevented them from seeing they were being watched.

I am not a big fan of President John Pombe Magufuli becayse he hates journalists. But on this one, he did well for his people.

I cringe for Uganda choosing TZ for the oil pipeline and SGR.  President Yoweri Museveni will need mayembe to fool Magufuli on number fudging.  Magufuli is incorruptible.

Museveni has burned bridges with President Uhuru Kenyatta.  Corruption is a cancer.  The cure for EAC now lies in the hands of Uhuru and Pombe.

Do not get surprised if pipeline and SGR go asleep for a while.
