20 FULL UPDF MILITARY TRUCKS ARE EXPECTED TO ENTER KAJO-KEJI ON THURSDAY MORNING VIA MOYO TO COMBAT OPPOSITION FORCES.
Adjumani, February 15, 2017; Over 20 heavily armed military trucks of Uganda People’s Defense Forces [UPDF] full of soldiers are being transported from Uganda to South Sudan. At around 6:00 pm today Wednesday, February 15, 2017; many eye witnesses confirmed the arrival of the trucks at Pakele sub-county Adjumani, and the trucks are going towards Adjumani.
According to some sources within the Ugandan security system, the Ugandan soldiers are destined to enter South Sudan via the border town of Moyo, and will be deployed in Kajo-keji County South Sudan, Kajo-keji County in the recent weeks has been a place of intense fighting between Juba regime forces composes of tribal militias from Dinka ethnic tribe of President Kiir and SPLA-IO troops. Other trucks are expected to enter via the border town of Nimule and are expected to station at Aru junction and Moli to combat the insurgences along Juba-Nimule road.
Safety along Juba-Nimule road is pivotal for President Museveni as this is the trading route for Ugandan traders. Also the economic and survival of most Ugandan working and doing businesses in South Sudan depend heavily on Juba-Nimule road.
Since the war broke-out in South Sudan in 2013, Uganda’s economy has decreased significantly and many businesses in Kampala collapsed, many families as well being affected, since 2005, it is estimated more than 15,000 Ugandan prostitutes have entered South Sudan illegal majority of them are HIV infected, now with war reigning from every corner, Museveni could have felt the pressure that is why through the back doors he is sending Ugandan boys again into south Sudanese territory to meet their death in unfamiliar terrains.
