#UGANDA NEWS BRIEFING group on Whatsapp - May 26/27 2016

There are 2 news briefing groups on Whatsapp.  I set them up but no longer run them.  All the members share news as it happens in their area.  UGANDA NEWS BRIEFING and then GLOBAL NEWS BRIEFING.  The principle is for everyone to alert the group of what they are reading or seeing.  If you want to be added to those groups, inbox Jason Mutunzi on Facebook.  It is all news and nothing but news.  You will notice there is always a time stamp on each post.  We are globally set up but my end receives all the posts in Halifax Canada time (AST, Atlantic Standard Time).  All the members contribute constantly.

[27/05, 2:56 a.m.] 5 Things About Today
 1) #KampalaAttacksVerdict: There's heavy security deployment at the High Court in Kampala as judgment reading  in the case against the 2010 terror suspects enters Day 2.
2) Police warn of road diversions ahead of South Korean President  Park Geun-hye's arrival tomorrow. Entebbe Road is one of the roads that might experience disruption to give way for the arriving delegates. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also expected in the country this weekend.
3) 7 people, including Ugandans, killed after unknown gunmen sprayed a Kampala-bound vehicle with bullets in South Sudan Wednesday. “The passenger was attacked between Aru junction and another village on the road towards Agoro in the east,”
4) An official announcement is expected today after a deal has been agreed for Jose Mourinho to become Manchester United's new manager, following three days of talks.
5) US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has reached 1,238, the number of delegates needed to secure the party's nomination. In North Dakota on Thursday, he thanked the 15 unbound delegates.
