WELCOME TO DEMOCRACY AND FAIR ELECTIONS IN #UGANDA'S RULING PARTY

HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS AND THE DEMOCRACY FROM NRM AND #MUSEVENI IN #UGANDA NOW?
------------------------------

The minister for animal industry, Bright Rwamirama, last evening stormed Namboole stadium where the ruling party is holding a conference and ordered delegates to vote his son.
By the end of the exercise, Rwamirama’s son, Mwine Mpaka, emerged winner of the Youth Western Member of Parliament.
“Whatever you do, you are wasting time. This is an order from State House,” our source quotes a member of Rwamirama’s camp as saying.
The source says the minister hurried to Namboole in the company of the “sole candidate girl” and minister for Youth Affairs, Evelyn Anite, NRM deputy Secretary General, Richard Todwong, and NRM vice Chairperson, Moses Kigongo.
The group arrived escorted by security late in the evening.
“They sat in the VIP tent and issued an order which they said came from State House. According to the order, we were forced to vote the minister’s son,” a delegate who asked not to be named told us.
“All along, there was intimidation of candidates and their agents.”
Mpaka, was vying for the position of Western Youth MP with the biggest challenge coming from Dennis Akampurira who hails from Kabale.
The delegate tells us a group of unknown people were seen wearing Museveni-Tshirts and forcing their way through to vote for Mpaka.
“They were too mean-looking to be civilians. One of them was found with a fake driving permit and no identity card but security did not arrest him.”
The delegate says the “unknown individuals” were soldiers dressed in civilian clothing.
Intimidation
One of the agents of the aspirants told us they were monitored by soldiers all-through the process.
They were putting three security personnel on each agent of Mpaka’s rivals.
“Personally, I nearly fought with them. They were following me everywhere. They managed to intimidate us. We gave up because we were told ‘whatever you do, Mkapa must win, it is an order from above’,” the agent told us.
According to the delegates we spoke to, there was no register to follow for the youth elections.
“They wrote on a piece of paper names of people. They were crosschecking from the piece of paper using identity cards.”
“They just forged a voters’ list.”
According to the delegate, before even voting started, those who were compiling the forged register inflated the number of sub counties in Mbarara district and added extra four non-existent sub counties.
Delegates from Mbarara were the first to vote.
The agent who spoke to us said as soon as Mbarara finished voting, they realized the number of voters had been exaggerated.
“We protested. The NRM electoral commission chairman, Tanga Odoi, intervened. He promised to resolve the matter.”
Ibanda delegates voted next followed by other districts.
“When it came to Isingiro district, we realized they had added extra ballots. We protested again and for the second time, Tanga intervened.”
Apparently, Tanga called the aspirants to an emergency meeting but never resolved the matter once more.
“The soldiers were already chasing away aspirants and their agents. They threatened to beat us up.”
Mpaka’s camp quickly approached Tanga asking that the tallying comemneces without even solving the problem.
At the end of the tallying, Mpaka had 336 votes while Akampurira got only 126 votes.
Agents and delegates told us when Rwamirama and Anite reached Namboole, they started dishing out money with a “vote Mpaka” whisper in each ear.
Angry Mpaka rivals and their agents threatened to lynch the minister and moved to drive them out but security took the upper hand.
We could not verify the alleged bribery by the two ministers.

THE YOUTH IN #UGANDA ARE BEING CHEATED

Sent by Ivan on whatsap.
--------------

What happened in Nambole Stadium Yesterday At the NRM Youth delegates Conference was Shameful and Primitive.
It was The Youth Of NRM Vs State House while choosing Leaders.
We now have two types of Youth MPs in NRM PARTY
1 STATE HOUSE CHOSEN YOUTH MPS
2 YOUTH MPS Chosen by the youth
First ,You wait up to 2am to start voting
Second ,Youth Minister Brings Money and starts to decampaign other candidates by buying the delegates 200k each to choose a state house MP Instead of uniting them
Third You bring the army and police to intimidate the agents and the supporters of non State House MPs
Fourth You Merge Some Posts at the last minute after realising that Non State house leaders may win
Fifth You bring government officials from different districts to decampaign People!!!
Sixth You allow Western Uganda Districts to vote twice and You stop some Eastern Uganda Districts a chance to cast their votes
Lastly You allow state house candidates to bring fake hand written Lists of Delegates without proper identification.
It was an Eventful Youth Delegates conference, where justice was denied to the poor and the rich sons and daughters were declared winners with impunity.
The good news is that
The poor are the majority

ONLY #MUSEVENI'S PARTY CAN USE KAMPALA FOR RALLIES IN #UGANDA

WHO DIED AND MADE KAYIHURA GOD?  This guy has no idea who he is dealing with.  It will no be long befr th stomin of La Bastille.

Police Chief Blocks Mbabazi Rally
The police have blocked former Premier Amama Mbabazi’s planned processions and rallies.
The presidential hopeful had planned to hold a rally in Kampala immediately after his nomination on 3rd November.
However, in a statement issued this afternoon, the police chief Gen. Kale Kayihura says Mbabazi’s request to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Jennifer Musisi to hold a procession on the city streets cannot be granted.
Gen.Kayihura says these activities fall under the Public Order Management Act which requires the convener to notify the IGP which Mbabazi has not done.
He adds that the same streets have been booked by the National Resistance Movement to carry out the same activities and police cannot simultaneously monitor both activities.

RABBA NAGA ON MOBILISING FOR CHANGE IN #UGANDA

Sent by Dr. Vincent Magombe.
--------------------

FREEDOM FORCES ARE BUILDING CAPACITY UP TO THE VILLAGE LEVEL ACROSS UGANDA - Let Museveni know this.

RABBA NAGA, the senior Freedom Struggle Activist, who is mobilising Ugandans to cause change, has let it be known publically that Freedom Forces across the country are busy organising, mobilising, and building capacity for the FINAL SHOW DOWN with the Museveni regime, which will be defeated sooner rather than later.

A concerned Ugandan asked RABBA NAGA if talking publically about mobilising Ugandans in villages and towns is not endangering the freedom struggle.

This is the answer from RABBA NAGA, a tested liberation war fighter, who himself fought in the NRA bush war of 1980-1986.

RABBA NAGA ANSWER:

Yes brothers and sisters, leaders can be carried away at times. Out jobs is to keep reminding them because we too are owners of the project.

Yes in organisational doctrine, there are things which are useless to hide. I see Museveni goons stopping our people taking photos of Entebbe airport, that it is for security reasons, jeez! Go to Heathrow, JFK, etc you take the bloody photos! Why? Because bad people don't use those kind of photos, haha! With modern satellite scientific advancement, I don't need to use my Nokia phone camera, shaaa!

Look at Entebbe, it was built by Israelis, who raided it when they wanted in 1976 and I saw Ugandan security arresting a one Ddamba for taking a photo at Entebbe!

Obote knew NRA had resistance committees etc, he knew they had units in the locations fully known, am sure in Syria units and mode of training and deployments of different protagonists are known.

So the most important point is not whether you have fighters in the villages or you are building in colleges, so what?

This is what is important

Those you build should not be known

The plans and what you intend to use them for should remain secret

The plans of what you want to use them for and where and when should or must remain top secret,

Your command structure must never be revealed.

And most important develop intelligence to counter enemy infiltration.

Comrade (referring to the comrade who asked him the question) and others, the reasons I write these is because I want them reach our people. How else can it reach all. Yes we stand a risk of the enemy also knowing what we are up to, but that is the deliberate risk a fighter takes in combat. In economics, it is referred to as the cost benefit analysis.

We need to master these. The comrades you mentioned am sure know. But this is addition

God bless the struggle.

BESIGYE AND MBABAZI SHOULD STOP WASTING TIME DISCUSSING POWER SHARING IN #UGANDA

Sent by Dr. Vincent Magombe.
----------------------

RABBA NAGA - The credible way forward for all progressive Ugandans engaged in the struggle for change:
"IMMEDIATELY BEGIN TO WORK ON WAYS TO DISMANTLE MUSEVENI REGIME - ORGANISE AND MOBILISE THE PEOPLE; BUILD CAPACITY of THE REVOLUTIONARY MASSES ACROSS THE COUNTRY, INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON WHO IS GOING TO BE PRESIDENT OR PRIME MINISTER, etc..."
Surely, why can't our leaders see this simple logic?
RABBA NAGA, the revolutionary senior freedom fighter currently mobilising Ugandans across the country to force Museveni out of power, is not mincing his words as regards the on-going negotiations between some top leaders in the struggle about who will rule Uganda when Museveni is gone.
According to Rabba Naga, Museveni will not go miraculously or through a dream, but as a result of a massive effort by all progressive forces, including mobilising the masses across the country for an unbeatable uprising.
Here below, in Rabba Naga's latest guidance, he calls on Ugandans not to waste time talking about how to share power (i.e.,. who is going to be president, prime minister, foreign minster, etc) without having a credible, convincing plan of how you are going to get Museveni away from state house.
RABBA NAGA'S WORDS VERBATIM:
We don't target anyone, Mbabazi or Besigye or whoever. We say it as it is.
I happen to have a close friend who has participated in successful disposal of three governments. He tells me that when you see people plan to share power before they OIL their guns and inspect their first section of 10 men, THEN THEY are useless. (here we don't literally mean the gun and the section of fighters but the capacity to resist) His words not mine.
Who took over power in Burkina Faso, in Egypt, in Tunisia, even in Russia when Yeltsin climbed on that tank?
We are not confronting a democracy in Museveni. We are confronting a paranoid dictatorship. Stop pretending that you don't know.
There are three ways to deal with a dictatorship; confront it, negotiate with it, or surrender to it. We want our leaders to say of the three, what are they pursuing so we follow them? Which? Or its a hybrid of all? Hmmmmm!
Yes listen to me now
MUSEVENI WILL NEVER NEVER HAND POWER TO MBABAZI UNLESS MBABAZI FIGHTS FOR IT. AND BY FIGHT, I DONT MEAN SHUTTLING EUROPEAN CAPITALS. NO GET DOWN AND GET DIRTY. OR WORK WITH THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO GET DIRTY. ITS NOT TOO LATE.
ENDS of RABBA NAGA STATEMENT.
In the photo - The ruthless dictator will not leave that chair voluntarily or through elections he himself has organised. He has forced himself onto that chair many times in the past. He will do so this time. So Ugandans, organise and mobilise - build capacity for a People Power Revolution, and stop wasting time SHARING POWER THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO) FOR THOSE IN #UGANDA WHO HAVE ASKED

The following is a simple explanation of how Search Engine Optimization works for the Internet.  I have been asked by some Ugandans how I managed to be on the first page of all searches for UGANDA on the first page.  You can read the following to get an idea. The thing is I have been in IT all my life so I never even think of these things.  If you search for UGANDA on Google (and Google is all you need), you will find the articles about Uganda showing up on the first page.  The average internet user only looks at the first page of results when they do a search.  So Uganda is on the first page with all the police brutality and articles I have referenced or quoted from the media which pays attention to Uganda.  Wikipedia is a free source of information where you can also contribute or edit articles.  Consider joining it.  I am a Google, Wiki and Youtube brat.
-----------------------------

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results - often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image searchlocal searchvideo searchacademic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

History
Webmasters and content providers began optimizing sites for search engines in the mid-1990s, as the first search engines were cataloging the early Web. Initially, all webmasters needed to do was to submit the address of a page, or URL, to the various engines which would send a "spider" to "crawl" that page, extract links to other pages from it, and return information found on the page to be indexed.[2] The process involves a search engine spider downloading a page and storing it on the search engine's own server, where a second program, known as an indexer, extracts various information about the page, such as the words it contains and where these are located, as well as any weight for specific words, and all links the page contains, which are then placed into a scheduler for crawling at a later date.
Site owners started to recognize the value of having their sites highly ranked and visible in search engine results, creating an opportunity for both white hat and black hat SEO practitioners. According to industry analyst Danny Sullivan, the phrase "search engine optimization" probably came into use in 1997. Sullivan credits Bruce Clay as being one of the first people to popularize the term.[3] On May 2, 2007,[4] Jason Gambert attempted to trademark the term SEO by convincing the Trademark Office in Arizona[5] that SEO is a "process" involving manipulation of keywords, and not a "marketing service."
Early versions of search algorithms relied on webmaster-provided information such as the keyword meta tag, or index files in engines like ALIWEB. Meta tags provide a guide to each page's content. Using meta data to index pages was found to be less than reliable, however, because the webmaster's choice of keywords in the meta tag could potentially be an inaccurate representation of the site's actual content. Inaccurate, incomplete, and inconsistent data in meta tags could and did cause pages to rank for irrelevant searches.[6][dubious ] Web content providers also manipulated a number of attributes within the HTML source of a page in an attempt to rank well in search engines.[7]
By relying so much on factors such as keyword density which were exclusively within a webmaster's control, early search engines suffered from abuse and ranking manipulation. To provide better results to their users, search engines had to adapt to ensure their results pages showed the most relevant search results, rather than unrelated pages stuffed with numerous keywords by unscrupulous webmasters. Since the success and popularity of a search engine is determined by its ability to produce the most relevant results to any given search, poor quality or irrelevant search results could lead users to find other search sources. Search engines responded by developing more complex ranking algorithms, taking into account additional factors that were more difficult for webmasters to manipulate.
By 1997, search engine designers recognized that webmasters were making efforts to rank well in their search engines, and that some webmasters were even manipulating their rankings in search results by stuffing pages with excessive or irrelevant keywords. Early search engines, such as Altavista and Infoseek, adjusted their algorithms in an effort to prevent webmasters from manipulating rankings.[8]
In 2005, an annual conference, AIRWeb, Adversarial Information Retrieval on the Web was created to bring together practitioners and researchers concerned with search engine optimisation and related topics.[9]
Companies that employ overly aggressive techniques can get their client websites banned from the search results. In 2005, the Wall Street Journal reported on a company, Traffic Power, which allegedly used high-risk techniques and failed to disclose those risks to its clients.[10] Wired magazine reported that the same company sued blogger and SEO Aaron Wall for writing about the ban.[11] Google's Matt Cutts later confirmed that Google did in fact ban Traffic Power and some of its clients.[12]
Some search engines have also reached out to the SEO industry, and are frequent sponsors and guests at SEO conferences, chats, and seminars. Major search engines provide information and guidelines to help with site optimization.[13][14] Google has a Sitemaps program to help webmasters learn if Google is having any problems indexing their website and also provides data on Google traffic to the website.[15] Bing Webmaster Tools provides a way for webmasters to submit a sitemap and web feeds, allows users to determine the crawl rate, and track the web pages index status.

Relationship with Google

In 1998, Graduate students at Stanford UniversityLarry Page and Sergey Brin, developed "Backrub," a search engine that relied on a mathematical algorithm to rate the prominence of web pages. The number calculated by the algorithm, PageRank, is a function of the quantity and strength of inbound links.[16] PageRank estimates the likelihood that a given page will be reached by a web user who randomly surfs the web, and follows links from one page to another. In effect, this means that some links are stronger than others, as a higher PageRank page is more likely to be reached by the random surfer.
Page and Brin founded Google in 1998.[17] Google attracted a loyal following among the growing number of Internet users, who liked its simple design.[18] Off-page factors (such as PageRank and hyperlink analysis) were considered as well as on-page factors (such as keyword frequency, meta tags, headings, links and site structure) to enable Google to avoid the kind of manipulation seen in search engines that only considered on-page factors for their rankings. Although PageRank was more difficult to game, webmasters had already developed link building tools and schemes to influence the Inktomi search engine, and these methods proved similarly applicable to gaming PageRank. Many sites focused on exchanging, buying, and selling links, often on a massive scale. Some of these schemes, or link farms, involved the creation of thousands of sites for the sole purpose of link spamming.[19]
By 2004, search engines had incorporated a wide range of undisclosed factors in their ranking algorithms to reduce the impact of link manipulation. In June 2007, The New York Times' Saul Hansell stated Google ranks sites using more than 200 different signals.[20] The leading search engines, GoogleBing, and Yahoo, do not disclose the algorithms they use to rank pages. Some SEO practitioners have studied different approaches to search engine optimization, and have shared their personal opinions.[21] Patents related to search engines can provide information to better understand search engines.[22]
In 2005, Google began personalizing search results for each user. Depending on their history of previous searches, Google crafted results for logged in users.[23] In 2008, Bruce Clay said that "ranking is dead" because of personalized search. He opined that it would become meaningless to discuss how a website ranked, because its rank would potentially be different for each user and each search.[24]
In 2007, Google announced a campaign against paid links that transfer PageRank.[25] On June 15, 2009, Google disclosed that they had taken measures to mitigate the effects of PageRank sculpting by use of the nofollow attribute on links. Matt Cutts, a well-known software engineer at Google, announced that Google Bot would no longer treat nofollowed links in the same way, in order to prevent SEO service providers from using nofollow for PageRank sculpting.[26] As a result of this change the usage of nofollow leads to evaporation of pagerank. In order to avoid the above, SEO engineers developed alternative techniques that replace nofollowed tags with obfuscated Javascript and thus permit PageRank sculpting. Additionally several solutions have been suggested that include the usage of iframesFlash and Javascript.[27]
In December 2009, Google announced it would be using the web search history of all its users in order to populate search results.[28]
On June 8, 2010 a new web indexing system called Google Caffeine was announced. Designed to allow users to find news results, forum posts and other content much sooner after publishing than before, Google caffeine was a change to the way Google updated its index in order to make things show up quicker on Google than before. According to Carrie Grimes, the software engineer who announced Caffeine for Google, "Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index..."[29]
Google Instant, real-time-search, was introduced in late 2010 in an attempt to make search results more timely and relevant. Historically site administrators have spent months or even years optimizing a website to increase search rankings. With the growth in popularity of social media sites and blogs the leading engines made changes to their algorithms to allow fresh content to rank quickly within the search results.[30]
In February 2011, Google announced the Panda update, which penalizes websites containing content duplicated from other websites and sources. Historically websites have copied content from one another and benefited in search engine rankings by engaging in this practice, however Google implemented a new system which punishes sites whose content is not unique.[31] The 2012 Google Penguin attempted to penalize websites that used manipulative techniques to improve their rankings on the search engine,[32] and the 2013 Google Hummingbird update featured an algorithm change designed to improve Google's natural language processing and semantic understanding of web pages.

Methods

Getting indexed

The leading search engines, such as GoogleBing and Yahoo!, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages that are linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically. Two major directories, the Yahoo Directory and DMOZ both require manual submission and human editorial review.[33] Google offers Google Webmaster Tools, for which an XML Sitemap feed can be created and submitted for free to ensure that all pages are found, especially pages that are not discoverable by automatically following links.[34] Yahoo! formerly operated a paid submission service that guaranteed crawling for a cost per click;[35]this was discontinued in 2009.[36]
Search engine crawlers may look at a number of different factors when crawling a site. Not every page is indexed by the search engines. Distance of pages from the root directory of a site may also be a factor in whether or not pages get crawled.[37]
Preventing crawling
To avoid undesirable content in the search indexes, webmasters can instruct spiders not to crawl certain files or directories through the standard robots.txt file in the root directory of the domain. Additionally, a page can be explicitly excluded from a search engine's database by using a meta tag specific to robots. When a search engine visits a site, the robots.txt located in the root directory is the first file crawled. The robots.txt file is then parsed, and will instruct the robot as to which pages are not to be crawled. As a search engine crawler may keep a cached copy of this file, it may on occasion crawl pages a webmaster does not wish crawled. Pages typically prevented from being crawled include login specific pages such as shopping carts and user-specific content such as search results from internal searches. In March 2007, Google warned webmasters that they should prevent indexing of internal search results because those pages are considered search spam.[38]
Increasing prominence
A variety of methods can increase the prominence of a webpage within the search results. Cross linking between pages of the same website to provide more links to important pages may improve its visibility.[39] Writing content that includes frequently searched keyword phrase, so as to be relevant to a wide variety of search queries will tend to increase traffic.[39] Updating content so as to keep search engines crawling back frequently can give additional weight to a site. Adding relevant keywords to a web page's meta data, including the title tag and meta description, will tend to improve the relevancy of a site's search listings, thus increasing traffic. URL normalization of web pages accessible via multiple urls, using the canonical link element[40] or via 301 redirects can help make sure links to different versions of the url all count towards the page's link popularity score.
White hat versus black hat techniques
SEO techniques can be classified into two broad categories: techniques that search engines recommend as part of good design, and those techniques of which search engines do not approve. The search engines attempt to minimize the effect of the latter, among them spamdexing. Industry commentators have classified these methods, and the practitioners who employ them, as either white hat SEO, or black hat SEO.[41] White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.[42]
An SEO technique is considered white hat if it conforms to the search engines' guidelines and involves no deception. As the search engine guidelines[13][14][43] are not written as a series of rules or commandments, this is an important distinction to note. White hat SEO is not just about following guidelines, but is about ensuring that the content a search engine indexes and subsequently ranks is the same content a user will see. White hat advice is generally summed up as creating content for users, not for search engines, and then making that content easily accessible to the spiders, rather than attempting to trick the algorithm from its intended purpose. White hat SEO is in many ways similar to web development that promotes accessibility,[44] although the two are not identical.
Black hat SEO attempts to improve rankings in ways that are disapproved of by the search engines, or involve deception. One black hat technique uses text that is hidden, either as text colored similar to the background, in an invisible div, or positioned off screen. Another method gives a different page depending on whether the page is being requested by a human visitor or a search engine, a technique known as cloaking.
Another category sometimes used is grey hat SEO. This is in between black hat and white hat approaches where the methods employed avoid the site being penalised however do not act in producing the best content for users, rather entirely focused on improving search engine rankings.
Search engines may penalize sites they discover using black hat methods, either by reducing their rankings or eliminating their listings from their databases altogether. Such penalties can be applied either automatically by the search engines' algorithms, or by a manual site review. One example was the February 2006 Google removal of both BMWGermany and Ricoh Germany for use of deceptive practices.[45] Both companies, however, quickly apologized, fixed the offending pages, and were restored to Google's list.[46]
As a marketing strategy
SEO is not an appropriate strategy for every website, and other Internet marketing strategies can be more effective like paid advertising through pay per click (PPC) campaigns, depending on the site operator's goals.[47] A successful Internet marketing campaign may also depend upon building high quality web pages to engage and persuade, setting upanalytics programs to enable site owners to measure results, and improving a site's conversion rate.[48]
SEO may generate an adequate return on investment. However, search engines are not paid for organic search traffic, their algorithms change, and there are no guarantees of continued referrals. Due to this lack of guarantees and certainty, a business that relies heavily on search engine traffic can suffer major losses if the search engines stop sending visitors.[49] Search engines can change their algorithms, impacting a website's placement, possibly resulting in a serious loss of traffic. According to Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt, in 2010, Google made over 500 algorithm changes – almost 1.5 per day.[50] It is considered wise business practice for website operators to liberate themselves from dependence on search engine traffic.[51]
International markets
Optimization techniques are highly tuned to the dominant search engines in the target market. The search engines' market shares vary from market to market, as does competition. In 2003, Danny Sullivan stated that Google represented about 75% of all searches.[52] In markets outside the United States, Google's share is often larger, and Google remains the dominant search engine worldwide as of 2007.[53] As of 2006, Google had an 85–90% market share in Germany.[54] While there were hundreds of SEO firms in the US at that time, there were only about five in Germany.[54] As of June 2008, the marketshare of Google in the UK was close to 90% according to Hitwise.[55] That market share is achieved in a number of countries.
As of 2009, there are only a few large markets where Google is not the leading search engine. In most cases, when Google is not leading in a given market, it is lagging behind a local player. The most notable example markets are China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the Czech Republic where respectively BaiduYahoo! JapanNaverYandex andSeznam are market leaders.
Successful search optimization for international markets may require professional translation of web pages, registration of a domain name with a top level domain in the target market, and web hosting that provides a local IP address. Otherwise, the fundamental elements of search optimization are essentially the same, regardless of language.[54]

ONE MORE STORY ON LAND GRABBING IN #UGANDA. REVOLUTIONS ARE MADE OF SUCH THINGS

UGANDA: ESCAPING FROM THE HANDS OF UGANDA SECURITY BY WISHKER IN APAA LAND GRAB SAGA, A UNIVERSITY STUDENT RECALLS HOW HE LOST RIGHT HAND.

Felix Opiyo-Tariya: Museveni’s dogs of war would have killed him if he didn’t run fast.

AMURU-UGANDA: It is seven o’clock local time in the evening, as the ambulance carrying Mr. Felix Opiyo-Tariya, a twenty-six year- old of Gulu University student pulls up at the Emergency Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital-Lacor which is located six kilometers west of Gulu town in Northern Uganda.

“Blood was still flowing from my injured right hand and I was feeling extremely cold. One woman who had come to check if her relatives were also injured from Apaa land conflict saw me shivering with cold, decided to cover me up with her wrapper. That was all I could remember when we arrived at Lacor hospital. I don’t remember what the doctors did to my hand from the Operating Theatre. The next thing I remember was that I was now in the Recovery Room and that my injured hand was now wrapped up in bandage”. These were the words of Felix, during an interview with the Black Star at the Northern Uganda Media Club (NUMEC) office in Gulu town recently.

Felix says his biggest new challenges include; how to bathe, dress up, work, wash his clothes, eat, write using left hand or how to get tuition fees for his daughter, siblings and fees to complete his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration . “Sometimes I call my neighbor to help bathe me, wash my clothes or even dress me up. I am learning to eat and write using the left hand. I am learning to eat like a child. It is better when I am using spoon or fork”, Felix says.

What happened in Apaa villages and Pabbo sub-county in Amuru district on 7th September 2015 that victims of atrocities like Felix will not forget about unwarranted and un-provoked attack on un-armed civilians by the Uganda Police Force (UPF) and Uganda Peoples’ Defence Force (UPDF)?

On this fateful Tuesday afternoon, dictator General Museveni unleashed his terror dogs on un-armed civilians of Apaa village in Amuru district who had gathered at Apaa market and killed three people, scores were injured, thirty-eight arrested and ten are still missing. Felix and Jacob Okumu had their right hands amputated as a result of the injuries they sustained in the fiasco.

The crime Felix, Jacob and people of Apaa committed was to respond to an announcement which ran on a local MEGA FM radio station by a top General on the UPDF, Maj. Gen. Julius Oketta (himself a son of the soil) inviting all residents of Apaa, which comprises of three administrative villages, for a night time bonfire meeting popularly known as “WANG OO”.

On this fateful day people like Felix and Jacob streamed to the venue of the meeting early in the morning to hear what message General Oketta was coming to deliberate with the people of Apaa.

“Major General Julius Oketta called for Wang OO bonfire meeting at Apaa Trading Center. When I heard the announcement over radio MEGA FM, I went for the meeting since I was at the village. Because the villages are large, some peo0ple took three days to reach Apaa Trading Centre”, recounts Felix.

When it was approaching mid day, people who had gathered at Apaa market waiting for their son, Maj. Gen. Julius Oketta, started hearing rumors that some soldiers were moving to Apaa Trading Center from neighboring Adjumani district, that these soldiers were arresting all the people who were coming for the meeting .

People thought these were the front runners of the convoy escorting Oketta. They were wrong. When the convoy of military and Police vehicles reached Apaa Primary School, about two hundred meters away from the venue of the meeting, elders in the meeting venue advised and requested people to welcome General Oketta by singing for him a wecome song as they hold and wave the “OLWEDO” tree (symbolizing and signifying peace time in Acholi culture) branches.

“What I saw and witnessed by one-thirty to two o’clock in the afternoon was a convoy of military and police vehicles entering the meeting venue. I counted five Armored Personnel Carriers-APC (popularly called as MAMBA), leading the way. Other military and police vehicles were following carrying men and women who were all armed and were putting on police uniforms” Felix recalls.

Felix says he saw the chairman of Pabbo sub-county Local Council three (LC III), Mr. Christopher Ojera (now a Parliamentary aspirant) standing on top of one of the APC battlefield vehicle. “Someone must have given the security personnel orders to start beating us up. All of a sudden, they started to beat people up using sticks. People started to run for their dear lives in disarray. When they saw people running away, they drove the mambas into the running crowd. Other security personnel began to shoot live bullets, throw hand grenades, tears gas and other types of bombs which displayed green, pink and blue colors”, says Felix.

Felix recalls that one of the bombs bust in his face blinding him momentarily while another bomb burst on his right leg as he was running, trying to escape for safety.

“As I was still running one of them shot at me from the back and the bomb landed on my back-pack bag which was containing my laptop computer, a camera, a pair of shoe and my clothe. The bag caught fire immediately”, recalls Felix.

“As I was trying to remove the burning bag from my back to enable me run faster, one of the mambas shot at me. The bomb landed on the joint separating my right hand from the harm. I felt cold running through my spine. When I look at my hand, it was shattered completely. I could see only small veins hanging loose from where blood was flowing freely. I was left without my right hand”, says Felix.

Felix recalls that the security personnel saw that he (Felix) was badly injured, they wanted to kill him there and then. “They trailed me for three kilometers by following the direction of the dripping blood from my hand”.

One Francis Oballim-Onen, with whom he was running away from the soldiers/police, found an abandoned motorcycle and used it to rush with injured Felix to Pabbo Health Center III- Lacor branch.

“When we reached the Health Center, the officer in charge called the Lacor main hospital and ambulance arrived to pick me up within thirty minutes.”
